Bloom is proud to announce Practical Completion at the Nari Centre, a project originally commissioned under the name Women’s Resource Centre.
The 6,500 sq.ft 1960s building had stood unused for years. Its transformation into a modern, inclusive community hub reflects Bloom’s commitment to reuse, sustainability, and social value at every stage of delivery.
Our works encompassed a complete internal renewal, including asbestos removal, spatial reconfiguration, and the installation of new partitions, finishes, and building services. The refurbishment introduced upgraded mechanical, electrical, and fire safety systems, new bathrooms, IT and AV infrastructure, and safeguarding features such as radiator casings and protective screening.
The result is a safe, flexible space designed to support women and families — with learning rooms, an IT suite, childcare facilities, and integrated security systems, developed in close collaboration with the client and end users.
Delivered on a fast-track 15-week programme, the project successfully managed technical complexity, social sensitivity, and financial control. Early coordination of digital and security systems ensured the building’s spaces are functional, welcoming, and future-ready.
For Bloom, the Nari Centre embodies our ESG ethos in action: bringing purpose, care, and long-term community value to every project we deliver.
