Cut & Carve in Action: Temporary Works at Queen Street

Project Milestones

We’re pleased to share the latest progress on our ongoing project at 19–21 Queen Street in Oxford, where we’re delivering a complex cut and carve refurbishment for our client, Fora.

Situated in the heart of a bustling high street, this site presents unique logistical and operational challenges. However, our team’s extensive experience working within live environments has ensured that we continue to move forward efficiently and safely.

Progress Highlights

Significant strides have been made in the enabling works and structural alterations. One of the major undertakings involves the removal and reconfiguration of the existing reinforced concrete (RC) fire escape stair. This element of the project is particularly important, as the redesigned stair will now serve additional floors—maximising the net internal area and adding real value to the property.

With temporary works securely in place and the demolition phase nearing completion, we are now preparing for the next stage of the project: the installation of structural steelwork and infill construction.

Looking Ahead

As we move into the next phase, our focus will remain on maintaining momentum while minimising disruption to the surrounding area. We’re excited to see this transformation take shape and look forward to sharing more updates as the project progresses.

Stay tuned for further developments at 19–21 Queen Street.
