John has built his career around commercial leadership and disciplined project delivery across various sectors. With a degree in Civil Engineering, he began at Multiplex in Australia, working as both a Project Engineer and Quantity Surveyor on major healthcare and large-scale commercial developments before relocating to the UK.
He later joined The Thornton Partnership, where he progressed to Head of Commercial, leading cost strategy and commercial performance across a diverse project portfolio. Known for his analytical approach and commercial clarity, John consistently aligned technical delivery with strong financial outcomes.
In 2023, John co-founded Bloom Construction with a clear ambition: to build a modern construction business rooted in transparency, accountability, and shared success. As Commercial Director, he defines and drives Bloom’s commercial strategy, championing win-win solutions across the entire supply chain. He believes the strongest projects are those where clients, consultants, and subcontractors succeed together – creating lasting partnerships alongside exceptional results.
